Co-Curricular Activity
In 2022, I joined the Class Leaders' Council, a leadership group consisting of all Class Leaders coming together to make our school a more vibrant and safe environment for all. Though we are given the role of Class Leaders, we are much more than that - we provide peer support to the people around us and also lead other student leaders in teaching them how to provide peer support to the people around them. We play a vital role in lightening the hearts of our classmates and peers amidst academic and non-curricular pressures. We have done our part by carrying out various events:
Thrive! Mental Wellbeing Week
April 2022 & April 2023
Student Leaders' Training Programme
May 2022
King Of The Arena (KOTA)

Thrive!
Thrive! Mental Wellbeing Week is an annual school event celebrating the importance of caring for oneself while spreading kindness and showing gratitude to everyone. The event aims to encourage everyone to practise self-care and gratitude on a daily, making life more fulfilling even amidst pressures. Various activities such as handy workshops, scavenger hunts and interactive Student Development Time lessons were conducted to enable everyone in the school to relax and rewind.
Before the execution of the event, a lot of planning had to be done. Throughout the planning period, I learned organisational skills as I had to delegate tasks to my section members, ensure that everything was in order and collaborate with the other EXCO members to collate all of our plans.
Amidst the event, there were certain occasions when things did not go according to plan. For instance, there were technical disruptions during one of our cohort-wide morning talks. However, I learned to be adaptable as my team and I continued to engage with the audience while waiting for the technical difficulties to be fixed.
Student Leaders' Training Programme
The Student Leaders' Training Programme was designed to train the school's student leaders to become effective communicators and empathetic leaders. Its purpose was to equip them with the necessary skills to run their respective CCA smoothly and confidently.
During my time conducting this programme with my CCA peers, I gained valuable experience as a confident orator and effective communicator in engaging with the audience. Though initially nervous about facing a large group of student leaders, the opportunity to train other school leaders allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, leading to my personal growth.
Furthermore, working with CCA peers of varying personalities helped me develop my teamwork skills as I learned how to better understand and work with each individual. Collaborating with different leaders also increased my patience and understanding of different ideas and working styles. eas.

King Of The Arena (KOTA)
KOTA is an annual college-wide event where JC1s and JC2s partake in a variety of games and sports challenges to earn house points for their respective houses.
In JC1, every Class Leader was tasked to lead their class in completing every challenge during the event. Through this event, I learned how to be a team player as I collaborated with my other classmates to complete the challenges.
Furthermore, it also honed my leadership skills as I had to assign different challenges by grouping my classmates so that we were able to finish our challenges quickly and efficiently.
